How to determine your meaning in life: 10 fantasies and questions for personal growth

I believe that every person should have his or her own meaning of life, a vector that keeps the focus of attention.
In order to understand it, I suggest to fantasize a little.
Let’s take a notebook with a pen and answer these questions:

  1. What would you do if you had all the money and time in the world?
  2. What would you want to do if you knew you wouldn’t fail?
  3. What would you do even if you knew you would fail?
  4. What would your ideal day look like? What do you do in it? Who are you with? What exactly makes this day perfect for you?
  5. What dream did you have as a child? Why was it not realized? Can it be realized now?
  6. Whose celebrity life inspires you? What qualities would you like to have? Who would you like to be like?
  7. You have decided to write a book about your life. What genre will it be? What will it be about? What thoughts would you like to share with people?
  8. If you were invited to give a TED talk, what topic would your talk be on? What would you want to share?
  9. Now let’s imagine that you are in a huge hall and you are given an award from all of humanity. For what? For what merit or technology? What contribution have you made?
  10. Now for a little sadness. What do the people who came to say goodbye to you say at your funeral. What are they thankful for?

And maybe these questions seem complicated to you, but trust me, you already know the answers, they are sitting deep inside you. Just try to answer some of them or all of them at once.
Sometimes we think that the world is huge and there is no place for us in it, but remember that you are the whole world for someone! You are already here, which means your words and actions are needed by the world.

Rejoice in every day, strive for your purpose and make this world better and people happier.

And how to analyze the past year, see in this article.
