Analyzing the past year: accomplishments, obstacles, and new habits.
Let’s analyze the past year.
I suggest that you take a notebook and a pen and answer the questions:
- What events or achievements were the most significant for you last year? How did they affect your life?
- What obstacles did you encounter? How did you overcome them and what did they teach you?
- What changed in your life during the year? What kind of person have you become? What character traits have you developed?
- What have you not accomplished? Why do you think it didn’t work out? What do you need to do or give up to make it work next year?
- What surprised you last year? What conclusions did you draw from these events or information?
- Did any new habits emerge? How have they affected your life?
- What has changed in your relationships? With your other half, with relatives, coworkers?
- Were there any new acquaintances? What impressions did they bring into your life?
- What changes in your career or studies? What has been accomplished? What still needs to be worked on?
- What and to whom are you grateful for in the past year? Think about the events and people who gave you and your life meaning.
